The World Health Organisation (WHO) defines obesity and overweight as a medical condition characterized by the abnormal accumulation of fat. While body mass index (BMI) is commonly used to measure obesity, it has limitations in accounting for differences fat distribution. aim this study compare effects waist-to-hip ratio on likelihood developing cardiovascular disease. Various search methods, including indexed sources from Google Scholar, were access diverse range literature published last ten years. review employed deductive inductive reasoning compile extract relevant information. Deductive was establish theoretical framework identify concepts related (WHR) disease (CVD). Inductive then applied analyse draw conclusions based accumulated evidence. found that valuable indicator risk people all ages, regardless their index. It particularly useful when other metabolic factors such diabetes, lipoprotein abnormalities, smoking, hypertension are present.
